Freeze-drying removes the water from a cooked meal. You put the water back. Everything below is just doing that properly.

The only thing that goes wrong with freeze-dried food is the water. Get the amount right and the temperature right, and the meal comes back the way it was cooked.

Empty
Tear open the pouch and tip the contents into a bowl. Take out the small oxygen absorber sachet and throw it away. It keeps the food dry, it isn't food.
Measure
Each meal prints its own water quantity on the back of the pouch. Fill the Wholicius measuring cup, which comes in every order, to that number.
Boil
Bring that water to a rolling boil in a kettle or a pot. Boiling matters. Warm water will not rehydrate the meal properly.
Pour & cover
Pour the boiling water over the contents. Stir five or six times so it reaches everything. Cover with a lid. A plate works, airtight is better.
Wait ten minutes, then eat
Set a timer for ten minutes and leave it alone. Don't open it early. Uncover, stir five or six times again, and eat it hot.

How long does it actually take?
Ten minutes from boiling water to a hot bowl. Fill the measuring cup to the quantity printed on the back of your pouch, bring that water to a rolling boil, pour it over the mix, stir five or six times, cover, and wait ten minutes.
Do I need a kitchen?
You need boiling water and a bowl. A kettle is enough. No pan, no stove time, no fridge, no freezer.
What is in the box?

Is it really 100% vegetarian?

How long does it keep?
12 months from manufacturing in a sealed pouch, stored in a cool dry place. No refrigeration at any point before you open it.

They are dry, sealed and light. A full meal weighs less than a paperback. Check the food import rules for your destination before you pack.
